| Arrival in Puno by lake Titicaca

| Another great day so far.
We got up at 5.30am - a bit of a lie in compared to yesterday - and caught the plane to Puno. On the way out of Arequipa the pilot flew really close to the summit of Misti volcano, so we got a really good view of the summit. It was amazing!
Then we arrived here in our hotel and there was a lot of confusion about where we were supposed to be staying, but we managed to sort it all out and are next door to Jane and Graham. The hotel is lovely - we've put a load of laundry in, and tried on our free slippers, and we have a gorgeous view of the lake from our bedroom window.
We're in the business centre now, and I've managed to upload a few photos, but we're on a 56k modem, so it's taking ages, and so I am only doing a few and we'll do more when we go somewhere with broadband.
Thanks for all the messages - it's lovely to hear from you. We're off early (7am) to visit the Uros Islands tomorrow, so I'll update you on that later on hopefully. |
